Description

The nature canyon, famous for its walking trails surrounded by giant rocky walls, wooden walkways, and breathtaking valley views.

Story

Kapıkaya Canyon is a deep and majestic canyon formed by the erosion of the Çakıt Stream through the Taurus Mountains over thousands of years. Located within the borders of the Karaisalı district, the canyon offers visitors an unforgettable experience with its massive rocky walls, dense vegetation, and the sound of the stream flowing through it. In recent years, the canyon has become a favorite spot for nature hikers and photographers thanks to the wooden walking platforms, viewing terraces, and safe paths that have been constructed. The approximately 7.2 km long hiking trail progresses into the depths of the canyon, sometimes along the water's edge and sometimes in the shade of the rocks. This canyon is an excellent area to observe the geological structure of the region and the diversity of its vegetation. The nearby Varda Bridge (German Bridge) also demonstrates how rich this area is in terms of both natural and industrial heritage.
