Döğer Caravanserai is a magnificent Seljuk-era structure located on the historical Silk Road in the town of Döğer, part of the İhsaniye district of Afyonkarahisar province. It is an important link in the chain of caravanserais built by the Anatolian Seljuk State to secure trade routes and meet accommodation needs. Although the exact construction date of the building is unknown, it is dated to the 13th century, considering its architectural features and the general caravanserai construction activities of the period. The caravanserai reflects typical Seljuk caravanserai architecture, with a rectangular plan, a courtyard, and enclosed spaces. Its large courtyard allowed travelers to safely house their animals and belongings, while the arcades and rooms around the courtyard offered accommodation and resting facilities. The enclosed section, especially used for protection from the cold during winter months, stands out with its thick walls and vaulted ceilings.
