Located in the heart of Afyonkarahisar, the Victory Museum is a historical building that witnessed one of the most critical periods of the Turkish War of Independence. Originally built in the late 19th century, this magnificent building showcases one of the elegant examples of Ottoman architecture. The museum building, formerly known as the 'Commander-in-Chief's Headquarters', was a strategic center where the Great Offensive was planned, managed, and led to victory. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades-in-arms planning and personally managing the Great Offensive, which began on August 26, 1922, in this building, elevates the museum to a unique position in our national history. Every corner of the building bears traces reflecting the spirit and heroism of that era. Inside the museum, maps, documents, photographs, and personal belongings from the Great Offensive are exhibited. Visitors have the opportunity to journey into the depths of history by exploring Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's study, meeting rooms, and other sections of the headquarters.
