Located on the banks of the Yeşilırmak River in Amasya, in the Yalıboyu region famous for its historical houses, Hazeranlar Mansion Ethnography Museum is one of the important stops that carries the city's cultural heritage and past life to the present day. This mansion, built in 1872 by the Hazeranlar family, one of Amasya's prominent families, beautifully reflects the civil architectural features of the late Ottoman period. The structure has a unique architecture characterized by the period's wooden craftsmanship and pencil work decorations. The mansion, bearing the characteristics of traditional Turkish houses, is typically two or three stories high, with wide eaves, bay-windowed rooms, and living spaces arranged around a central courtyard, fitting into Amasya's unique urban fabric. The separation of the haremlik and selamlık sections reveals the social structure and way of life of the era. The interiors are adorned with wooden ceiling carvings, niches, and traditional furniture. Hazeranlar Mansion was restored in 1984 and opened to visitors as an ethnography museum affiliated with the Amasya Museum.
