Abalı Baba Tomb is located in the Karacakaya area of Yakacık Village, Yenimahalle district of Ankara. The tomb is dedicated to Abalı Baba, who is highly respected by the local people and believed to be one of the spiritual leaders of Anatolia. Although precise information about Abalı Baba's identity and life is limited, he is generally thought to be one of the dervishes from Khorasan who played an important role in the Turkification and Islamization of Anatolia. The exact construction date of the tomb is also unknown, but it is estimated to be a structure dating back to the Seljuk or early Ottoman periods. Similarities with other tombs and centers of belief in the region strengthen this temporal estimation.
