As you leave Kızılcahamam town center and drive toward Abacı village, the asphalt road narrows, the scent of pine intensifies, and on the horizon you begin to notice unusual rock cones breaking the usual silhouette of the steppe. These pointed towers, some capped with a wide, hat‑like top, are the silent traces of millions of years of erosion. The area was formed as soft, volcanic tuff layers were slowly carved by rain, wind, and streams.
