Story

Keçiören Waterfall is an artificial waterfall located in the Keçiören district of Ankara, opened in 2004, and quickly became one of the region's important landmarks. The waterfall is one of Turkey's largest artificial waterfalls, standing approximately 27 meters high. This project, implemented by the Keçiören Municipality, aimed to add aesthetic value to the region, as well as create a pleasant resting and recreation area for citizens. During the construction of the waterfall, care was taken to give it a natural rock appearance, thus ensuring a harmonious integrity with its surroundings despite being an artificial structure. Especially with the lighting at evening hours, the waterfall takes on a captivating atmosphere and offers a visual feast to its visitors. The area where the waterfall is located is also surrounded by parks and green spaces. In this way, visitors can enjoy the refreshing effect of the waterfall, walk in the surrounding parks, play with their children, or spend time relaxing on benches. Keçiören Waterfall is a popular escape point for Ankara residents, especially during the summer months when they seek relief from the heat. The sound of the water created by the waterfall helps those who wish to escape the city noise...
