The Mehmet Akif Ersoy House Museum is a historical place that bears witness to the lands where the Turkish National Anthem, one of the most important symbols of the Turkish nation's struggle for independence, was written. Located in the Altındağ district of Ankara, adjacent to the Taceddin Dergah, this house served as Mehmet Akif Ersoy's residence during the National Struggle period and also became a center where important intellectuals and politicians of the era gathered. The house is a sacred place where Akif lived with his family between 1920 and 1922, penned the National Anthem, and meticulously wove the spirit of independence. At that time, Ankara's strategic importance and its role as the center of the National Struggle necessitated Akif's presence here.
