Eynif Plain
Description
The wide plateau plain known for its wild horses and ancient caravan routes.
Story
Eynif Plain forms a wide flat area between the Taurus Mountains and is especially famous for its wild horses. During the Seljuk period, the caravan routes from Konya to the coastal towns passed through this plain. The ruins of Tol Hanı, located in the southern part of the plain, indicate that this area was an important resting point in history. Today, Eynif is known as a plateau area where wild horses roam freely and the Yörük culture still thrives. In the spring months, the plain takes on a lush green appearance and is covered with various types of flowers. Moments when the morning mist lingers over the plain offer unique frames for photographers. Yörük tents, herds of goats, and the sounds of nature keep the cultural fabric of the region alive. The plain is suitable for nature walks, wildlife observation, and camping.
