Story

Incekum Nature Park, located to the west of Alanya, is a favorite stop for both locals and tourists as a natural coastline where green meets blue. It takes its name from the extraordinarily soft and fine-grained sand that stretches along the beach. This unique sand structure has been shaped by the winds that envelop its surface, creating a natural beach texture over the years. One of the most striking features of the beach is that the sea remains shallow for a long distance, providing a safe swimming environment, especially for families with children. In the mornings, the sea is calm like a lake, while in the afternoons, small waves form with the gentle breeze. The surrounding pine forests provide shaded areas in the nature park, creating a cool atmosphere on hot summer days. In addition to its natural beauty, Incekum holds cultural significance as it was once a region traversed by the migratory routes of the Yörük people. According to legend, nomadic Yörük communities would stop here before ascending to the Taurus Mountains in the summer months, allowing their animals to rest by the seaside. The region's water resources and expansive flat areas created an ideal resting point for herds. Today, remnants of this tradition can still be seen in the small festivals and summer celebrations that are held in the surrounding villages. Within the nature park, there are various facilities such as picnic areas, walking paths, recreational spots, showers, and changing cabins.
