Story
Oymapınar Dam Lake is an impressive artificial lake formed in the 1980s thanks to the dam built on the Manavgat River, surrounded by steep cliffs and pine forests. The construction of the dam significantly changed life in the region; some old settlements were submerged, but the area gained a new identity in terms of tourism. The green hues of the lake, combined with the reflections of the rocks and forests, offer visitors a postcard-like view. Today, boat tours on the lake are quite popular. During these tours, narrow straits are navigated, the sharp silhouettes of the rocks falling into the lake are observed, and a pleasant journey is made over the calm water surface.
