The Historical Bilecik Mosque is located in the city center of Bilecik, right next to the Orhan Gazi Mosque. Although there are different views regarding the exact construction date and founder of the building, the general consensus is that it was built in the late 14th or early 15th century. Some sources suggest that the mosque was built during the reign of Orhan Gazi, while others point to a later date. The mosque bears the characteristics of early Ottoman architecture. The main prayer hall, which has a square plan, is covered with a single dome. The dome rests on the walls through pendentives.
