Bursa Zoo opened its doors to visitors in 1998. This project, implemented by the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, was designed with a modern zoo concept. Established on an area of approximately 200 acres, the zoo aimed to provide animals with living conditions as close as possible to their natural habitats. Since its opening, Bursa Zoo has continuously developed and is a member of the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA). This membership is an indicator that the zoo operates in accordance with international standards regarding animal welfare, species conservation, and education. The zoo carries out important work, especially in the conservation and breeding of endangered species. Visitors are offered the opportunity to observe animals from the African savannas, Asian forests, and various regions of Europe. Many different animals such as bears, wolves, lions, zebras, giraffes, monkeys, and various bird species live here. • It is recommended to allocate at least 3-4 hours to visit the zoo.
• Visiting early in the morning, especially on weekends and holidays, offers a more comfortable experience as it can get crowded.
• Wearing walking shoes will allow you to move comfortably in the large area.
• You can bring water and light snacks, but there are also food and beverage stands inside.
• For families with children, bringing a stroller or pram will make long walks easier.
