The Billurbey Tomb is located in the Billurbey neighborhood, on the southwestern foothills of Çankırı Castle, in the city center of Çankırı. Although there is no definitive information about the exact construction date of the tomb or who commissioned it, based on its architectural features, it is estimated to have been built in the late 13th or early 14th century, towards the end of the Seljuk period. The tomb is a single-story, square-plan structure covered with a pyramidal roof. The walls of the building are constructed with a mixed technique of rubble stone and brick. Its interior is quite simple, with a sarcophagus in the middle whose owner is unknown. On the exterior facade of the tomb, especially around the entrance gate and window frames, examples of stone craftsmanship unique to Seljuk architecture of the period can be seen. However, due to wear and tear and damage over time, most of these decorations have been lost. The tomb remained neglected for many years and underwent repairs at various times. In recent years, it has been restored in accordance with its original texture through restoration work and has survived to the present day.
