Valide Sultan Mosque is located in the Hıdırlık area in the center of Çorum. Although there is no definitive information about the exact construction date and patron of the mosque, considering its architectural features and the general building style of the period, it is thought to date back to the late 16th or early 17th century. The name 'Valide Sultan' is generally used for structures built by or dedicated to the mothers of Ottoman sultans, which strengthens the possibility that the mosque may have been built by an important Valide Sultan of that period.
