The Ahmet Taşçı - Adalı Halil Monuments are an important part of Edirne's rich cultural heritage, closely associated with the Kırkpınar Oil Wrestling Festival. These monuments were built to preserve the memory of two great legends of Turkish wrestling history, Adalı Halil and Ahmet Taşçı. Adalı Halil, who lived in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, became a legend by winning the chief wrestler title at Kırkpınar four times in a row. Known for his strength, technique, and sportsmanship, Adalı Halil left his mark on Turkish wrestling and became an inspiration for future generations. Ahmet Taşçı, on the other hand, is one of the most successful wrestlers of the modern Turkish era. In the 1990s, he became the eternal owner of the golden belt by winning the chief wrestler title three times in a row at Kırkpınar, and equaled Adalı Halil's record by winning the chief wrestler title a total of nine times.
