Archaeological research conducted in the area has revealed traces of prehistoric human settlement, including bone remains and stone tools, indicating that the region was inhabited as early as the Paleolithic period. For this reason, the Döngel Caves hold significant scientific value not only in terms of geology but also archaeology. Today, the caves and their surroundings serve as a popular route for hiking, photography, and nature exploration.
