İsmail Bey Mosque, also known as Kurtuluş Mosque, is an important place of worship in the center of Kastamonu dating from the Ottoman period. Its construction dates back to the 17th century and reflects Ottoman architectural features of the region. The wooden craftsmanship and decorations of the structure stand out; especially its minaret and wooden ceiling embellishments.
