Story
Haci Seref Mosque is located in the central district of Muş, near Gazi Avenue and the historic Kale area. Reflecting the architectural character of the Ottoman period, the mosque stands out with its simple exterior, stone masonry walls and single minaret. Although it has undergone several restorations over time, its original architectural identity has largely been preserved. The wooden interior elements, mihrab layout and balanced dome proportions give the space a calm and modest atmosphere. Beyond being a place of worship, the mosque is regarded as one of the symbolic historical elements of Muş’s urban identity. Together with the surrounding historical texture, it represents the continuity of social and cultural life in the city.
