Story

Boztepe, symbolizing a journey that stretches from the heart of the city of Ordu to the sky, along with the Teleferik line that provides access to this unique point, is one of the most enchanting viewing terraces that brings together the green and blue of the Black Sea. Located approximately 530 meters above sea level, Boztepe offers a natural balcony from which to observe the entire texture of the city, the boundless turbulent waters of the Black Sea, and the curves of the coastline from a bird's eye view. The cable car line established between the city center and Boztepe is not only a means of transportation but also offers visitors a visual feast during the approximately 7-minute glide over the city. This ascent through hazelnut orchards provides a unique opportunity to understand Ordu's philosophy of 'brotherhood of the valleys' and its city structure intertwined with nature. Upon reaching the summit of Boztepe, the cool Black Sea breeze and fresh air greet visitors. This place has served as both a breathing point and a strategic observation area for the local people for centuries. Today, it has become the tourism locomotive of the city with its modern restaurants, traditional tea gardens, and paragliding runways for thrill-seekers. Colorful wings taking off from this hill, one of the most popular stops for paragliding enthusiasts in Turkey, create an aesthetic view for onlookers as they glide over the city and land on the beach. Historically and geographically, Boztepe is an inseparable part of Ordu's identity. In the morning, the mist rising over the sea envelops this place in a fairy-tale atmosphere, while the orange and purple hues of the sky at sunset provide a natural stage for photography enthusiasts. At night, the lights of the city sparkle below like a jewel box spilled into the sea.
