Story

Şenyuva Village, known by its old name 'Çinçiva', one of the most magical stops of Fırtına Valley, is a fairytale-like settlement that presents the Black Sea's civil architecture and nature like a painting. Located approximately 7 kilometers from Çamlıhemşin district center, built on both slopes of Fırtına Stream, this village has gained fame for hosting series and films, but derives its true value from its unspoiled cultural fabric. The massive stone and wooden mansions scattered on the village's slopes reflect the aesthetic understanding and past richness of Hemşin culture. Şenyuva is not just a village; it is the name of a mystical geography where the roaring stream, centuries-old plane trees, and clouds hang on the slopes. The village's most important feature is that traditional life continues in great harmony with modernism. While walking through Şenyuva streets, you can see the fine carvings on the doors of historic houses, each a work of art, and witness the region's famous hospitality. The village is also famous for its coffeehouses and boutique cafes that host the region's 'firsts'. The village landscape, integrated with the famous stone arch bridge crossing Fırtına Stream, is the center of those iconic images that come to mind when thinking of the Black Sea. Here you feel time slowing down and empty your mind with the sound of the stream. Şenyuva is not just a rest stop on the road to the plateaus in the region, but a destination in itself. For visitors, Şenyuva is the meeting point with the most natural of local flavors. The fresh cornbread, muhlama, and plateau cheeses served in the village cafes represent the region's gastronomic richness. The trail paths around the village are gates opening to the depths of the forest and hidden waterfalls for nature walkers. Waking up in Şenyuva's misty mornings and watching the smoke rising from the valley completely detaches one from the city and connects to the heart of nature. This is one of the Black Sea's most intimate and aesthetic villages, donning a different color palette each season (yellow-orange in autumn, white in winter, and endless green in spring).
