Winter brings rain and shorter days, but also lower prices and a more authentic local atmosphere. The metro connects major districts efficiently, though walking remains the best way to discover hidden courtyards and neighborhood gems. Ferries provide both transport and sightseeing—the Bosphorus route costs less than most tourist boats.
